Welcome to our recipe collection, the place where homemade cake gets serious and still stays fun. Food with Style started with a love for baking at home, and today a community of 3 million followers bakes along with us. More than 700 recipes have come out of our kitchen so far: cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, pastries and soft yeast doughs. Most of them start as a short video on Instagram and land here written down with exact amounts, clear steps and photos, so you can bake them at home without guessing. Whether you are baking your very first cake or looking for a new weekend project, these baking recipes are made for real kitchens.

Whatever you are craving, a category is the quickest way in:

• Cake recipes: from juicy fruit cakes to everyday classics like our orange cake.
• Cheesecake recipes: creamy favourites, baked low and slow or with a caramelised top.
• Cookie recipes: quick bakes for the cookie jar, like soft lemon cookies.
• Pastry: puff pastry, choux and flaky treats that make any coffee break special.
• Brioche and yeast dough: soft buns, braids and fluffy cinnamon rolls.

Every recipe is built so you can bake straight from your phone or tablet, with flour on your fingers:

• Portion calculator: where a recipe lists servings, you scale them up or down and every amount adjusts.
• Grams or cups: switch the units with one tap, whichever you are used to.
• Timers: start a timer right from the times in the steps, so nothing stays in the oven too long.
• Step photos and videos: many steps show a photo, and most recipes include the original video.
• Print view: print a clean version for your kitchen folder.

This way you always know what the batter should look like, and you never lose your place in the recipe.

The pan shapes your bake as much as the batter does, so check which one the recipe asks for before you start:

• Springform pans: for everything you would rather not turn upside down, like apple cake or a creamy berry cheesecake.
• Loaf pans: for sliceable cakes and breads, such as our fresh lemon cake.
• Ring cake pans: tall and fluted, for rich batters with a golden crust all around.

A pan in a different size works too. Just keep an eye on the baking time, because a wider pan bakes flatter and faster.

A few simple habits make a big difference, whichever recipe you choose:

• Read first: go through the whole recipe once before you start, so nothing surprises you halfway.
• Weigh your ingredients: a kitchen scale is more precise than cups, especially for flour and sugar.
• Room temperature: butter, eggs and dairy blend more evenly when they do not come straight from the fridge, unless the recipe says otherwise.
• Know your oven: every oven bakes a little differently, so check your bake a few minutes before the time is up.
• Let it cool: cakes and cheesecakes set while they cool, so give them time before you cut.
