Safety information

  • The pan gets very hot in the oven. Only touch it with oven gloves or pot holders, set it down on a heat-resistant surface and keep children away until it has cooled down.
  • For the oven only: never put the pan on a hob, over an open flame or in the microwave.
  • Don't cut on the non-stick coating and don't use sharp or metal utensils on it. Wood or silicone are gentle on the coating.
  • Rinse the pan before you bake with it for the first time. Once it has cooled down, clean it by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, without scouring agents. Please don't put it in the dishwasher, that protects the non-stick coating.
  • Springform pan: only the enamel base is dishwasher safe. Please wash the coated ring by hand.

Springform: your questions

The pan measures 26 cm (about 10 inches) across on the inside and is about 8.8 cm high. Recipes written for a 26 cm springform fit exactly, so you can bake them without converting.
Only the enamel base is dishwasher safe. Wash the coated ring by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, because dishwasher detergent dulls the non-stick coating that helps your cake release.
Not the ring, that has the double non-stick coating. The base does need it: it is enamelled rather than coated, so you can cut on it and serve straight from it. Brush it thinly with butter or lay down a round of baking paper, then the cake comes away cleanly. With sticky batters like cheesecake a little butter on the ring helps too.
Yes. The base is coated with cut-resistant enamel, so you can simply open the clamp, lift off the ring and serve your cake right on the base.
The body is aluminized steel with a double non-stick coating on the ring. The base is coated with enamel, and the clamp is made of stainless steel 304.

The pan measures 26 cm across on the inside, about 10 inches, and it is about 8.8 cm high. That's the classic size most European cake recipes are written for, so you can usually bake them exactly as they are.

Got a recipe for another size? Think in area, not diameter. Coming from 24 cm, use about 1.2 times the ingredients, coming from 20 cm about 1.7 times. A US recipe for a 9 inch pan needs about 1.3 times the batter.
