Directions
-
1
Preheat your oven to 220 °C (430 °F) top/bottom heat or 200 °C (390 °F) fan.

-
2
Roll up the sheet of puff pastry tightly from the long side into a log. Cut the log into 8 equal pieces. Place each piece upright (cut side up) into a muffin tin well.

-
3
Using your thumbs, gently press the dough from the center outward to create a tartlet shell, lining the bottom and sides evenly. Prick the bottom of each shell with a fork.

-
4
In a bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the egg and mix well, then stir in the cream and cornstarch until fully incorporated.

-
5
Pour the filling into the prepared tartlet shells, leaving a bit of space at the top. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until the tops are slightly browned.

-
6
Let the tartlets cool in the tin first, then carefully remove them. These creamy tartlets are a perfect fusion of crispy and velvety.
