Safety information

  • The pan gets very hot in the oven. Only touch it with oven gloves or pot holders, set it down on a heat-resistant surface and keep children away until it has cooled down.
  • For the oven only: never put the pan on a hob, over an open flame or in the microwave.
  • Don't cut on the non-stick coating and don't use sharp or metal utensils on it. Wood or silicone are gentle on the coating.
  • Rinse the pan before you bake with it for the first time. Once it has cooled down, clean it by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, without scouring agents. Please don't put it in the dishwasher, that protects the non-stick coating.
  • Springform pan: only the enamel base is dishwasher safe. Please wash the coated ring by hand.

FAQ

Springform: your questions

It measures 24 cm in diameter, about 9.5 inches. That's a classic size for many Dutch and Swedish recipes and close to the 9 inch pan used in American baking.
Usually about 10 to 12 pieces. That's enough for a family afternoon or a small birthday party, and a little less than you'd cut from a classic 26 cm cake.
Yes. A 9 inch pan is about 23 cm, so use about 1.1 times the ingredients, or keep the amount and bake a slightly flatter cake, checking a few minutes early.
Use about 0.85 times the ingredients, since a 24 cm pan has around 85 % of the area. Keep the full amount and your cake gets a little taller and needs longer.
There's no date yet. Enter your e-mail in the sign-up on this page, and we'll tell you first as soon as the springform pan 24 cm is ready for your kitchen.
Yes. The base is enamel-coated and cut-resistant, so you can open the clamp, lift the ring away and slice your cake right where it baked. No extra plate needed.

Springform pan 24 cm (9 inch): coming soon

Between small and large there is a size that home bakers from Amsterdam to Stockholm reach for again and again. Our springform pan 24 cm is on its way. You can't order it yet, but you can sign up with your e-mail on this page and be the first to know when it's ready.

  • Double non-stick coating: on the ring, so the edge of your cake lets go cleanly.
  • Enamel base: hard and cut-resistant, a serving plate for your cake.
  • Stainless steel clamp: marked with our logo, closes the ring tight.
  • Aluminized steel: sturdy and made for even browning.

Why 24 cm is a classic in so many kitchens

In the Netherlands and Sweden, lots of cake recipes are written for a 24 cm springform, and in many other European countries it's a familiar size too. A 24 cm cake gives you about 10 to 12 pieces, enough for a family coffee table without leftovers for days.

In inches, 24 cm is about 9.5. That puts it very close to the 9 inch pan so many American recipes ask for, which makes it a great size if you love baking from English-language blogs.

Converting from 26 cm, 20 cm or 9 inch

Always compare areas. A 24 cm pan has about 85 % of the surface of a 26 cm pan, so a 26 cm recipe needs about 0.85 times the ingredients. If you keep the full amount, your cake gets about 15 % taller and needs a few minutes more.

  • From 20 cm: about 1.4 times the ingredients.
  • From 9 inch (about 23 cm): about 1.1 times, or keep the amount for a slightly flatter cake.
  • From 28 cm: about 0.75 times.

Our springform pan 26 cm is already available, and the smaller springform pan 20 cm is coming soon.

Cheesecakes and fruit cakes in 24 cm

Creamy fillings and juicy fruit are exactly what a 24 cm springform is made for. Three ideas from our blog:

Check which pan size each recipe names first, then scale with the factors above.

Built just like our 26 cm springform

The springform pan 24 cm will share material and features with our 26 cm pan. Its body is aluminized steel for even browning, and the ring carries a double non-stick coating, so creamy fillings and sticky fruit let go of the edge.

Underneath sits an enamel base, cut-resistant enough to slice on, and a stainless steel clamp with our logo holds ring and base together. You'll find the whole range in our springform pans.

24 or 26 cm, and caring for your pan

Can't decide? Pick 24 cm if your favorite recipes come from Dutch, Scandinavian or American kitchens, 26 cm for classic German recipes and the springform pan 28 cm for big parties.

The enamel base can go in the dishwasher. Wash the coated ring by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, skip steel wool and let everything dry completely. For bread and pound cake, take a look at our loaf pan 30 cm or the Baking Set with three pans, and browse all our bakeware.
