We want everyone to be able to shop and bake with Food with Style, including with a screen reader, keyboard or magnification.
Legal framework
Food with Style UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a micro-enterprise within the meaning of Section 2 No. 17 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). Under Section 3 (3) BFSG, the accessibility requirements do not apply to micro-enterprises providing services. We nevertheless voluntarily follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we already do
- Pages in 20 languages with the correct language setting
- Alternative texts for product and recipe images
- Keyboard navigation with visible focus
- Forms with labelled fields, for example for withdrawals
- Animations are reduced if you have enabled this on your device
Known limitations
- Some colour contrasts (for example delivery time notes) are still too weak. We are working on it.
- Videos do not have subtitles yet.
- Checkout is provided by Shopify, so we have only limited influence on its design.
