Bakeware: your questions
Bakeware is the umbrella term for the pans and tins you bake in, such as springform pans, ring cake pans and loaf pans. Good bakeware releases cakes cleanly and helps them brown evenly.
A round pan with a removable ring, a fluted ring cake pan and a loaf pan cover a wide range of recipes, from cheesecake and marble cake to banana bread and yeast loaves.
None, really. In the US people say cake pan or baking pan, while in Britain it is a cake tin or baking tin. Both mean the same kind of bakeware.
Our bakeware is made for food contact and, as required by law for all bakeware in the EU, complies with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. For our springform pan 26 cm, ring cake pan 22 cm and loaf pan 30 cm, this was tested by Intertek (test report SZHH02209241S1, 9 July 2026, including migration testing under LFGB and the EDQM guide, sensory testing and substances under BfR Recommendation LI). Treat the coating kindly with wooden or silicone tools and avoid sharp metal utensils on the surface.
Only the enamel base of our springform pan is dishwasher safe. Wash all coated parts by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, because detergent dulls the non-stick coating over time.
All our pans are made of aluminized steel with a double non-stick coating. The springform also has a black enamel base and a clamp made of 304 stainless steel.
Many cakes release without it, but a thin layer of butter never hurts. For sticky batters and detailed ring cake pans, butter and a dusting of flour are always a good idea.
The Baking Set contains our springform pan 26 cm, ring cake pan 22 cm and loaf pan 30 cm. It costs €99.90, which saves you 20 % compared to buying each pan separately.
