Safety information

  • The pan gets very hot in the oven. Only touch it with oven gloves or pot holders, set it down on a heat-resistant surface and keep children away until it has cooled down.
  • For the oven only: never put the pan on a hob, over an open flame or in the microwave.
  • Don't cut on the non-stick coating and don't use sharp or metal utensils on it. Wood or silicone are gentle on the coating.
  • Rinse the pan before you bake with it for the first time. Once it has cooled down, clean it by hand with warm water and a soft sponge, without scouring agents. Please don't put it in the dishwasher, that protects the non-stick coating.
  • Springform pan: only the enamel base is dishwasher safe. Please wash the coated ring by hand.

FAQ

Loaf Pan: your questions

The loaf pan is 30 cm long and measures about 31 x 14.5 x 7.5 cm on the outside. Recipes for a 30 cm loaf pan or loaf tin fit without converting.
Yes, the loaf pan is suitable for bread. Yeast loaves and sweet breads work just as well in it as pound cake, banana bread or a lemon loaf.
We recommend washing it by hand with warm water and a soft sponge. Dishwasher detergent is aggressive and dulls the non-stick coating over time, and the coating helps your loaf release.
Not necessarily. A thin layer of butter and a dusting of flour is usually enough. For very moist batters or sticky toppings, a strip of parchment makes lifting the loaf out easier.
Convert by length. From a 25 cm pan, use about 1.2 times the ingredients, from a 20 cm pan about 1.5 times. Check doneness with a skewer, since baking times can change.
The double non-stick coating covers the pan inside and out. Inside, it helps your cake or bread release. Outside, it gives the pan an even, neat surface all around.

Banana bread on a Sunday, a lemon loaf for friends, fresh bread for breakfast: our loaf pan 30 cm is the pan for all the bakes you slice rather than cut into wedges.

  • Sturdy 0.8 mm body: the thickest body of our three pans, aluminized for even browning.
  • Made for cake and bread: from pound cake to yeast loaves.
  • Stamped logo: the Food with Style logo is stamped underneath.

Size and how to convert your recipes

The loaf pan is 30 cm long and measures about 31 x 14.5 x 7.5 cm on the outside. Whether your recipe says loaf pan, loaf tin or bread pan, a recipe for a 30 cm pan fits as it is.

For loaf pans, only the length changes, so convert by length. Coming from a 25 cm pan, use about 1.2 times the ingredients, coming from 20 cm about 1.5 times. A US recipe for a 9x5 inch pan (about 23 cm long) needs about 1.3 times the batter. Or keep the amount and bake a slightly flatter loaf, checking a few minutes early.

Prefer a shorter pan? A loaf pan 25 cm is coming soon.

Loaf cakes and breads from our blog

Here are four recipes that love a long pan:

Our blog recipes don't always name a pan length. If yours is written for a smaller loaf tin, scale up by length as described above.

Coating inside and out, simply explained

The body is made of aluminized steel with a thickness of 0.8 mm: sturdy and made for even browning, whether you bake a cake or a bread.

The double non-stick coating covers the pan inside and outside. Inside, it helps your loaf slide out in one piece. Outside, it keeps the surface of your loaf pan 30 cm smooth and neat. For very moist batters, a strip of parchment paper makes lifting the loaf out even easier.

Loaf pan, springform or ring cake pan?

The loaf pan is the everyday hero for bread and anything you want to slice neatly. You'll find it in our loaf pans, together with the shorter size coming soon.

For cheesecakes and fruit cakes, the springform pan 26 cm is the better choice, and for tall, fluted cakes there is the ring cake pan 22 cm. Want all three? The Baking Set saves you money compared to buying them one by one.

Care tips and fresh ideas for your loaf pan

Wash your loaf pan 30 cm by hand with warm water and a soft sponge. Please don't put it in the dishwasher, that protects the non-stick coating. Skip steel wool, and dry the corners well before putting it away.
