Ingredients
- For Coating / Dusting
Directions
-
1
Combine flour, powdered sugar, ground almonds, salt, and vanilla. Add the cold butter and quickly knead into a smooth dough. Important: work swiftly so the dough does not warm up.

-
2
Shape the dough into a long log, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 60 minutes.

-
3
Preheat the oven to 170 °C / 338 °F (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

-
4
Cut the chilled dough log into slices about 1.5 cm thick (approx. 20 g each). Roll each piece into a ball, then into a short log and gently bend the ends downward to form classic crescents.

-
5
If the dough becomes too soft while shaping, chill the formed crescents again for 15-20 minutes to help them keep their shape while baking.

-
6
Bake for 12-15 minutes. Im The cookies should remain pale, with just a hint of color at the tips.

-
7
Remove from the oven, let cool briefly, and while still warm (but not hot), gently coat in powdered sugar and vanilla sugar or lightly dust.

-
8
Let cool completely - only then will they become perfectly tender and stable. Perfect for the holiday season, as a thoughtful gift, or simply to enjoy with a cup of coffee.
