In a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, melt the butter and dark chocolate together. Let the bowl cool down for a moment and add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract - mix well.

Add flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt, and fold until well combined.

Grease the muffin molds and dust them with cocoa.

Bake at 180°C (fan-assisted) or 350°F (convection) for about 12-15 minutes, until the surface is firm.

In a saucepan, heat the milk until hot but not boiling. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture while stirring constantly. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens. Let it cool.

Remove the Chocolate Brownie Cups from the oven and let them cool slightly. Then gently press a hollow into the center of each cup.
