Preheat the oven to 170 °C / 340 °F (top/bottom heat). Line the loaf pan with parchment paper or grease and flour well.

Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the batter alternately with the milk, mixing just until smooth.

For the cheesecake layer, stir the cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, and cornstarch until smooth and creamy. Do not overmix.

Spread one third of the cake batter evenly into the pan. Spoon half of the cheesecake mixture on top and add small dollops of blueberry jam (do not spread).

Gently add the second third of the cake batter. Spread the remaining cheesecake mixture on top and again add small spoonfuls of jam.

Finish with the last third of the cake batter, smoothing the surface.

Using a wooden skewer, gently swirl once through all layers to create a soft marbled effect. Do not overdo it.

Bake for 50–55 minutes, until golden brown.Toothpick test: moist crumbs are perfect, no wet batter.
