Ingredients
- 120 g powdered sugar
- 60 g almond flour
- 60 g all-purpose flour
- 120 g unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 4 egg whites (whipped to stiff peaks)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Sliced almonds
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Lightly grease and flour twelve square muffin molds and set them aside. (Measurements of the molds: approximately 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm)
- In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, almond flour, all-purpose flour, and a pinch of salt.
- Add the melted butter and whipped egg whites. Gently mix until a smooth batter forms.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared twelve molds.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the Financiers.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
- Allow them to cool slightly in the molds before transferring them to a wire rack. Lightly dust with powdered sugar.
