Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.

In a saucepan, mix milk, cornstarch, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Remove the custard from the heat, stir in the butter, and let it cool.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into eight equal rectangles.

Place a portion of custard in the center of each rectangle and top with some raspberries.

Fold the pastry over the filling, connecting the corners.

Whisk one egg yolk with a tablespoon of milk and brush it over the top of the pastries before baking.

Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
