Ingredients
- - 3 eggs
- - 150g sugar
- - 1 pinch of salt
- - 100g vegetable oil
- - 70ml milk
- - 200g flour
- - 8g baking powder
- - 8g vanilla sugar
- - 250g quark
- - 1 egg
- - 2 tbsp sugar
- - 1 tbsp cornstarch
- - 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 24-27cm springform pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and salt until frothy. Add the vegetable oil and milk and mix well.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar together and fold into the egg-sugar mixture. Mix everything well until a smooth dough is formed.
- For Quark Filling
- In a separate bowl, mix together the quark, egg, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Fill the quark mixture into a piping bag and pipe straight lines onto the cake.
- Bake the Quark Gitter Cake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until it is golden brown and the cake has pulled away from the edges of the springform pan.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before serving.
