Ingredients
- - 50 g soft butter
- - 50 g sugar
- - 1 egg
- - 100 g flour
- - 1/2 tsp baking powder
- - 1 tsp cocoa powder
- - 1 tsp instant espresso powder
- - 25 ml milk
- - 25 ml strong brewed coffee, cooled
- - A pinch of salt
- - 70 g powdered sugar
- - 2-3 tablespoons coffee
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly grease the mini Gugelhupf molds.
- In a bowl, cream the soft butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- Add the milk along with the cooled coffee and mix.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, instant espresso powder, and a pinch of salt, then add to the butter-sugar mixture.
- Fill the mini Gugelhupf molds about three-quarters full with the batter.
- Bake the mini Gugelhupfs in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown and fully baked.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool briefly in the molds, then carefully remove them from the molds and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the glaze: Mix the powdered sugar with the coffee in a bowl until a smooth glaze forms. Dip the cooled mini Gugelhupfs into the glaze and let them drip on a wire rack.
