Ingredients
blank
- - 2 egg yolks
- - 150g soft butter
- - 45 g powdered sugar
- - 20g cornstarch
- - 1 tsp vanilla extract
- - 250g all-purpose flour
- - Mango jam/preserve
Directions
In a bowl, cream the room-temperature butter and powdered sugar together.
Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, mix well.
Gradually add cornstarch and flour, kneading to form a smooth dough that doesn’t stick to your hands. Adjust flour as needed.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Form equally-sized small dough balls (around 20).
Make a thumbprint on each dough piece and use a knife or a mold to cut edges to create a flower shape.
Press a well into the center of each shape.
Fill the wells with mango jam or preserve.
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
