- - 150 g soft butter
- - 150 g sugar
- - 3 eggs
- - 200 g all-purpose flour (Type 405)
- - 1 tsp baking powder
- - 80 g ground hazelnuts
- - half tsp ground cinnamon
- - 1 tsp vanilla extract
- - A pinch of salt
- - Butter for the mold
- - Chopped nuts (hazelnuts or walnuts) for the topping
Directions
Preheat your oven to 175°C (top and bottom heat). Grease the 20cm diameter bundt cake pan and sprinkle it with hazelnuts, evenly distributing them on the pan.
In a bowl, cream the soft butter and sugar.
Add the eggs one by one and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, ground hazelnuts, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter-egg mixture, gently folding until a smooth batter forms. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
Pour the batter over the chopped nuts in the prepared bundt cake pan.
Bake the cake for about 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and fully baked. A toothpick should come out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.
Allow the cake to cool briefly before removing it from the mold. Then let it cool completely on a wire rack.
