Ingredients
blank
- - 300 g puff pastry
- - Jam or preserves (optional)
- - Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
- - Cinnamon sugar (for dusting, optional)
- - Maple syrup (for finishing, optional)
- - Fresh fruits (for garnishing)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius (338 degrees Fahrenheit) and grease a muffin tin.
Cut the rolled-out puff pastry into 12 even strips, each about 2 to 3 centimeters wide. These strips should overlap, with about 1 centimeter extending beyond the edge.
If desired, spread a thin layer of jam or preserves along the length of each strip.
Lay one strip over the other, creating an overlap of about 1 centimeter. This will form a continuous spiral.
Starting from one end, gently roll up the spiral until you have a beautiful, filled pastry roll.
Ensure that the bottom edge of the roll is well sealed by folding and pressing down the extending strip.
Place the finished Cruffin roll in the prepared greased muffin tin.
Create a small hollow in the center of each Cruffin roll, either using your index finger or a slender tool.
Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake the Cruffins for approximately 50 minutes or until they are golden brown. Make sure they have risen and are crisp.
Once baked, remove the Cruffins from the oven and, if desired, dust them with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or brush them with maple syrup to add an elegant touch.
Finally, garnish the Cruffins with fresh fruits and serve.
