Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F), top and bottom heat. Line the baking pan with parchment paper.

For the apple batter, whisk together the eggs, both sugars, oil, and vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon, then fold in the grated apples.

For the cheesecake layer, mix the quark or cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, and cornstarch until smooth.

For the crumble, combine the flour, both sugars, salt, and cold butter until crumbly.

Spread about half to two-thirds of the apple batter into the pan. Spread the cheesecake layer on top and distribute the remaining batter in small portions over it.

Sprinkle with the crumble and sliced almonds.

Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 40–45 minutes until lightly golden.

Let cool completely, chill for at least 1–2 hours, cut into squares, and dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
